Cyril Jackson Education Support Centre contacted Pineapple Planet wanting a complete brand overhaul, from their brand logo, website, internal and external documents including branding of their communication tools such as newsletter, facebook and even their email signatures.

We initially met with Cyril Jackson Education Support Centre to understand what they stand for as an education institute and how we can help to reflect that in their marketing material.

It was evident to us that this was not your average education institute, their staff and students had an awesome connection their vision and values reflect this - Belonging, Respect, Resilience and Courage.

The students and staff engaged with Pineapple Planet along the process, the students' especially in the photoshoot, it was awesome to see students own and get involved with the process.

The school shares a site with Cyril Jackson Senior Campus, which enrols compulsory schooling and mature age students. The two schools maximise student learning opportunities by sharing facilities, resources and integrated learning programs.

A range of career and community focused SCSA courses, endorsed programs and Vocational Education and Training (VET) certificate courses are offered to develop student independence and confidence in preparation for a successful transition beyond school. Student centred planning and a rigorous transition process guides individual learning and pathway options which are complemented by tailored work experience placements. Formal accreditation for learning is embedded across the schools’ programs with progress reflected in students’ individual transition plans (ITP), reports and the WASSA (Western Australian Statement of Student Achievement).

The Branding

We created a brand that reflects the: Strength, support, unity, less literal depiction of students working together as a group to achieve their goal. Community, society. Reaching forward and up.

Learning tree, the tree also depicts strength and growth. The abstract style is a reference to how Aboriginal art is depicted.

The Website

A comprehensive website was created with a 'different' design to reflect their approach. Media rich with lots of video content and easy to use for the staff to amend and update. We gave training on how the staff update and alter the website moving forward.

The Documents

We designed and supplied branded templates for internal and external documents so the staff can create their own safe in the knowledge that they are following corporate guidelines.

The Photoshoot

Pineapple Planet arrived at the centre with all our studio lights to photograph students on a white background, we let the students show their own personality during the photoshoot and boy did this show! It was a resounding success and it was clear the students owned the moment. The images were then edited to include bright backgrounds that truly reflect the centre's approach. We then photographed students in and around the centre and the results were not your usual photoshoot for an education institute but clearly stand out as being individual.

The Pineapple Planet Team ALL loved working on this project and we look forward to supporting and working with Cyral Jackson Education Support Centre again soon.
